What a great adventure it was: The Duinhopper 362. Even though I got my winner’s certificate in the mail today, it will still take a while to sort it all out. It’s a long story. So I decided to break it into smaller more managable pieces. The first part of this (almost) anthology will be a small beginner’s guide on how to become a great duin-pooper, since that’s probably the most important lesson learned. It’ll give you a small overview over the most important aspects of the adventure and tell you, how you, too, can become a great duin-pooper. That’s what the event was all about. During the upcoming days and weeks I’ll serve you some more tidbits on what I packed and ate, how I trained, how much I slept, how the adventure (it was indeed more of an adventure than a race) felt like, why sand is awesome and what the future may or may not hold.
